Alo-Inspired Yoga Wrap Top

Wrapping up the finishing touches on this #elodiewrapdress from @closetcorepatterns - what a fun pattern! Another woven sew in the books for me, I might be a convert! I used a lovely Hemp Poly blend from @sewdynamicfabrics, which has an awesome linen-like texture and weight, and is made from recycled ♻️ plastic bottles 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

Wovens are not typically a fabric I sew with, and certainly not something I have reached for when planning out my maternity and post-maternity wardrobe (as I've been wrongly assuming that a fabric must be stretchy to be comfortable). This gorgeous hemp poly woven has completely changed my outlook on being comfy in woven fabrics! It is lightweight and airy, soft against the skin, and a true joy to sew with. I love that these shorts will be wearable through my pregnancy and postpartum, especially as it gets into the 100˚ (and higher) weather. Plus, this green shade is such a lovely evergreen tone, and has the texture of linen. I've never been so happy to be so wrong, and need all the colors of this amazing *recycled* fabric!!

There's a REASON all of us preggos are drenched in bamboo jersey: it's quite possibly the world's softest and most comfortable fabric ever!! I love the lightness and flowy drape of this dress, so perfect for falling over the baby bump without feeling the least bit constricting. I'll never stop raving about @fabricfairy bamboo, it is heaven!

Baby sews!!! It’s the last day of round 20 over at @the.styled.magnolia so I had to scrap-bust the last of this Helix Bamboo French Terry! Beyond excited to deck baby #2 out in TSM 🤩 I started sewing just after my first was born, so now that baby number two is on the way, I’m super excited to deck him out in fun, mama-made sews!!

So I've been searching ALL the maternity styles on Pinterest to find cute ways to dress this baby bump! And I'm always so surprised at the crazy markup on "maternity" cardigans. Like what exactly is the difference between a regular and a maternity cardigan? They look the EXACT same to me! So of course I had to sew the coziest Danielle cardi in ivory baby french terry, and it is absolute maternity goals. It's so soft, slouchy, and just indescribably comfortable!! And the lightweight FT is perfect for spring, just glorious!

SO happy to have just enough of this @fabricfairy Salsa bamboo left for a tank, as bamboo is basically the ONLY fabric the baby bump wants to wear right now! I made an Xpress tank from @greenstyle_patterns ; the looser fit is really comfy, and the drape and cut are super flattering for that weird pre-"pop" stage of the bump 😄 LOVING that back detail too!
