I’ve never had more perfectly fitting bikini bottoms in my life, I’ll just say that. I got a wild hair to use the Apostrophe MyFit Underwear pattern to create my own bikini bottoms, after seeing so many styles of bikini bottoms but not wanting to buy 147 different patterns.
Hey friends! I’m on the Ellie and Mac blog today sharing how I created this crop yoga sweater, inspired by an Alo top I saw at Nordstrom!
Hey fellow sewing friends! I’m over on the AK Patterns blog today showing how to add inset sleeves to the gorgeous Abi Jumpsuit, by mashing it with their Sheona top.
Quick post today with deets and photos of the new Cavallo Leggings from Greenstyle Creations! I loved getting to test these new active wear leggings, and while they were originally inspired as horseback riding pants, they are great for so many other things! My favorite feature without a doubt is the fact that they have no inseam, and it just makes them insanely comfortable.
This prerogative is in large part why I am so excited to have been invited to be a strike sewist for Sew Dynamic Fabrics! Michelle is a custom fabric printer, who prints all of her custom athletics on Repreve Fabric. click here to read more about Repreve’s fabric, process, and specs.
I know we’ve all seen the really cute Fabletics leggings with the crisscross back pocket that is so on trend right now! Of course I wanted to hack this, and the perfect pattern to do it is the Apostrophe my fit leggings because it basically includes the pieces needed!!
This beauty. A labor of love, and I don’t say it lightly! I’ve never been more proud of a sew, and am so glad I tried my hand at the Teddy Backpack, from RLR Creations. I hope this inspires you to try a pattern that you find intimidating, as you may just end up loving it more than you can even imagine!!
This was a top I’ve had rolling around in my head for a while, and I knew I had to try it. For this top, I used the P4P Twist Back Top pattern. As chenille is VERY prone to stretching/distorting and also unravelling, I changed up the construction techniques to suit the fabric.
Today I’m going on a new sewing adventure, a reversible jacket. Magnolia floral liverpool is our Thrifty Thursday print, so I decided to make a bomber jacket with it using a thrifty FREE pattern, the Reversible Mood Bomber Jacket. Here are my thoughts, additions and full review!
This last week, I got the opportunity to sew with some new-to-me athletic fabric bases, tencel and tricot. So I will preface by saying that both of these fabrics are incredible, and I only wish I knew about them sooner because they are perfect for summer! However, that green jacket (McCalls #m7199) was just about the death of me!
